TIPS

First Monday starts Thursday before the first Monday of each month—don’t wait until Monday! Shop on Thursday to avoid the crowds.

Wear comfortable walking shoes; flip-flops and dress shoes are not recommended.

Your phone may not work at First Monday. Set a meeting place for your group. We can only page for lost children or medical emergencies.

Non-aggressive dogs are allowed in the Original First Monday Park but must be on a leash, and owners must clean up after them.

Plan ahead for overnight stays, as lodging fills up quickly in Canton. Consider nearby towns and bed & breakfasts.

If bringing children, bring a stroller, wagon, and an umbrella for shade.

First Monday happens year-round, rain or shine. April, May, September, October, and November are ideal for weather, but great deals can be found year-round.

Bring a shopping cart or wagon for your items. For large items, ask the dealer for a pass to pick up your purchase.

Explore other shopping areas in Canton, including downtown antique stores and a shopping mall on Highway 19.

Grab a free Canton Guide, which includes maps of the grounds and the city.

Parking costs $10 a day on the grounds or in nearby areas.

There are ATMs, but they may run out of cash on busy days. Cash is best for bartering.
