When you shop First Monday, Canton you're on your very own treasure hunt. With over 400 acres of shopping, this is sure to be the hunt of a lifetime. Scour our fields for the perfect vintage or antique item, take a break and grab a bite to eat from one of our food vendors, stay onsite at one of our RV Spots, then wake up and do it all again the next day!
2. Rich History
First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas is the oldest, largest continually operating outdoor flea market in the United States. We've been doing this since the 1850s, so you can say we've gotten pretty good at it ;) What began as locals coming together to buy, sell and trade goods has now grown far and wide, bringing shoppers from all over the country to our small town for an epic shopping experience!
3. Diversity of Items and Vendors
Shoppers come from all over to experience this epic event, and vendors do too! We've had vendors come from as far as Canada to sell at First Monday, Canton. Each vendor and artisan eagerly waits on our market to showcase their craft, each bringing something unique and made, created, thrifted, or picked with love!
4. Items tell a story
Not only does our event have a rich history, but our items do too! You'll find things like vintage polaroid cameras, a 100 year old bible, a working juke box from the 1900's, a vintage vending machine selling items for 5 cents, and much more!
5. YOU
Most of all, what makes First Monday special is YOU! Yes, you! You've helped us grow from a small gathering of locals on the square, to what we are today.
